Thanks, Dan. I think the scan was just spinal and head so did not examine the muscles/tendons in the leg. Your assessment of what's happening sounds spot on to what we see. Now we just need to find out why and how to correct it.

If you can, practice with those that can be bought, in some states, as they tend to go about the same highth. Curt kept questioning me last year about my settings...stopped, however; when we compared shots...but; I can't tell you off hand what my settings were. I'll have to go find some shots and check the exif. Will write myself a post-it to check on this tomorrow afternoon, when I won't need quite so long of nappy.

The good thing is the worst is ruled out. Sounds like it could be some parts is growing faster than others and should catch up with each other eventually. Hopefully that is it or at worse some PT and/or exercises may be needed to re-teach those parts of the body to work in unison again.

Purty flahrs, Deb, I like the thistle thingy, if I'd adjust anything it would be to angle the shot so the bud in front is out of the frame, if possible. I like the one in the back and the rest of the BG. Nice lighting and PP on all of them.

Some of my closest and best(est) friends are from that mailing list. We go back long before Yahoo even owned those mailing lists... Every once in a while a troublemaker tries to intrude, though.

Jamie, I saved these settings from last year's posts, hoping that I wouldn't erase them, and that I would get a chance to shoot fireworks....

One was as to set your camera @ ISO 100 and Manual mode:

f/8 for 4" or
f/11 for 8" or
f/16 for 16" or
f/22 for 30"

The other way was to set the camera on Av mode:

f/8 @ ISO 100 or
f/11 @ ISO 200 or
f/16@ ISO 400 or
f/22 @ ISO 800

Obviously, for either one of these procedures, you'd need to utilize the tripod.

Anyway, hope this helps.

I started a diet today ...

I started working out at the Y last week, but not seriously dieting. But I had a very depressing experience today so I'm getting more serious about reducing the calorie intake.

For those that have asked in the past, we got the results from Nathan's MRI scans yesterday. Apparently they have not shown anything wrong. Not really sure how to take that. On one level, it's great, but it would have been better to have a reason for why Nathan's walking like he is. Now we have to sort out an appointment with the specialist to talk about other possible reasons and what we need to do now. It'll probably take a couple of months to get that appointment.

I'm sure its frustrating to not have an answer, but at least you don't have a bad answer either. I hope they get him figured out soon, and its just something he'll outgrow.
