Wow, great shots going on here today...

Jamie: I like all those car ones. The dumpster the least, the high angle shot the best.

Deb and Crissa: I'm glad you guys hooked up. Looks like you had a fun time!

Wanda: Hurry home, we missed you.

Deb:  <---- at that Tappen Zee accident. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before.

Zane: Really cool farrier shots. I've always wanted to see that done... and photograph it... ;)

G'MAE, All.

Lisa and I went out to the coast and photo'd an old lighthouse. We've been there before, but this time I brought a f/2.8 lens for the inside of the lighthouse.

Has this ever happened to you, where you go to a very beautiful, photogenic place, take a bunch of shots, and not one of them is interesting to you? Like if you were to dump the whole day's shots, it wouldn't bother you in the least? That's me today. Just a bunch of boring shots, or shots that I've already taken before. Grr.

What you need is one of these puds to take with you ...lol then your pics would be funny for you ..thats what i do when bored .

Hi, Deb. I'm just checking in before I check out. I'll check for your photos when I'm back online again. Have a great day and don't let the heat get you down.

Is that one to contrasty Becky? Can you look at it on your PP moniter?

I don't think so for what you are going for, actually the one by the dumpster looked to contrasty. The car looks more grey than silver in that shot. In this shot the mottled pavement and your adjustments makes the car pop.

Becky, you and Curt really should pack up your hammers and head on up here.

I'm afraid you wouldn't get much work out of us for a few weeks, we would be too tempted to go shoot the beautiful scenery you have up there.;)

hooves being trimmed

Great shots Zane!!!! The angle on the shoes with the fire in background is superb. If you have an office are at your stables that should go on the wall, IMHO. All the shots are very well composed, great colors and light.

Jinx loves fresh trimmings

Our Myra loved it when the hoof trimmer came out to do the cows hooves. We cracked up laughing the first time we saw a bag of hooves for sale in a pet store.

A lesson in trimming cow hooves, they are not done in the same manner as Zane showed with horses. Rather the cows are lead into a pen that restrains them. The cages is then tilted so the cow is laying on her side and feet are sticking out where the trimmer can get to them.

Hope you back settles down quickly, Zane. Got Gatorade?

Hi Deb. The deck is coming along, after today we will be at a stand still until the inspector comes to OK the framing. Then we can lay the flooring, guard rail, and hand rail. Curt wants a copper pipe for the hand rail. City code dictates the minimum diameter which is larger than consumer stock. The stores here suggest he check with the plumming suppliers as they probably have it for commercial stock. We are also going to use gate hinges for the first guard rail opposite the door. Since that rail will need to be removed to move any furniture or appliances in and out of the house, we wanted to make it an easy removal.

We will be cutting the runners for the steps today and temporarily install them so we can use this entrance while we wait on the inspection.

That's a great shot, Deb!!:D

Actually, we have a small stuffed koala bear that we sometimes take places; it's kinda fun.

Jamie - I would be tempted to clone out the words on the dumpster. They compete heavily for my attention becuase of the high contrast there. :)

Jamie, I'd clone out the entire dumpster. I would, however, via photoshop, put in a large, bright picture of Donald Trump wearing a mime's outfit. I don't know why, but this somehow seems like a great idea to me.
