I just talked to the body shop, and Ellen should be home by Wednesday or Thursday. Yay! The Jeep is nice, but I miss my car...

Holy canolie, Lonnie... Ellen has been in the shop this whole time? Was there serious damage then?

Nice shot, Jamie. Love the colors.

I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy, the gang is almost all here!

Jamie, I am really enjoying your photo's. You just keep getting better and better.

Pete, lucky you working from home :) I get to do that occasionally.

Cat, I do know the email pile up. Scary stuff.

It took them almost a week to tear her down and come up with the estimate. The shop and the insurance adjuster both called me on Thursday, but unfortunately, I didn't get the call right away. The adjuster called me at work at 10am on a Thursday. I didn't get that message until Saturday, naturally, and the insurance company was closed all weekend. The shop called my cell phone, apparently at a time when I didn't have it on. Only problem is, my voicemail box had somehow become configured wrong and was giving out a message saying "This mailbox is temporarily unable to record a message. Please call back later." I just called T-Mobile to get that fixed now that I knew I had the problem.

Neither one of them thought to call my HOME number... I've been trying to call the adjuster all morning, but now I'm only getting her voicemail. So, I called the shop to ask for a status and they told me they were just waiting on me to approve the estimate. I don't know why I needed to approve it, since State Farm is paying the bill, but I said, "Yes! Fix the damn thing already!" (Well... Maybe not quite like that.)

They're replacing the rear bumper cover and the shock something or other under it, and the reclining mechanism in the driver's seat. The total bill will come out to about $1200.

Thanks Cat & Terry.

Gosh Lonnie I did not know Ellen was not home yet. I know you miss her. I am glad she will be home soon.

Speaking of Ellen... I've never named one of my cars... Do most people?

Jamie, nice shot. I wish we had a track with decent events here. I'd love to try some auto shots. I don't have a long enough lens though.

Cat, I'm feeling mostly better. Still some irritation in my throat and lower sinus area.

Pete, I can't believe you've had SEVEN cups of coffee. I've had one and the most I have in a day is three.

This is the first car I've ever named, and I only did it because a friend of mine jokingly suggested I should.

BTW, I should also mention I'm a worrier, and when I saw a message waiting for me Saturday morning at work telling me the insurance adjuster had called, I went into panic mode. Why would she call me instead of my attorney? Last time I had an accident, the only time the adjuster called me personally instead of dealing with my attorney was to tell me they were declaring the car a total loss.

It wasn't a good weekend for me... ;)

I stopped drinking coffee about three years ago when I was on about 6/7 day. I am now doing the same amount of tea (hot for our American cousins).

About two weeks ago I had my first cup of coffee in three years and I have to admit I had forgotten just how good it tastes.

My favourite line attributed to John Wayne:-

"There is no such thing as strong coffee, only weak men" :-)
