Looks like an awesome place to visit. I could never live in such a remote area though.

Big ears on that furry thing! :)

I wish you could look up temperature and the thin air in the EXIF. Can you see the elevation on the sign?

We travelled the "million dollar highway (external link)" to get to this summit. SCARY FREAKING ROAD. There are times that the white line on the edges disappears into the deep oblivion. Quote: travel south from Ouray to Silverton perches drivers on the vertiginous outside edge of the highway We were perched. vertiginously.

I stopped drinking coffee about three years ago when I was on about 6/7 day. I am now doing the same amount of tea (hot for our American cousins).

I never did care for hot tea. I'll drink an iced tea occasionally, but even that's pretty rare. I yoyo a lot when it comes to coffee, though. When I was about 18 or 19 and still living with my parents, we all drank that stuff by the gallon. I always took it with sugar, but no cream. Then I got to a point where I went a few years without touching a drop. Then I started drinking a cup or two a day, now with sugar and cream. Then I stopped again for a while before I discovered gourmet coffee blends and had just one cup a day, black. There was another period where I went without again, then back in March, Puddles dragged me to a Starbucks against my will. Now I have to have a Venti Mocha Non-Fat with no whipped cream, three or four times a week. I usually get my fix at the Java City cafeteria where I work, where they call their large cup a Grande instead of a Venti, though.

I still need to do PP, these are just converted to JPG,
but this is the view from behind my grandparents lot on the mountain.
2nd picture was taken in their driveway.

Beautiful area! I love the second one!

G'mae everyone :)

Cat, welcome back! I'm loving the area where you were vacating :D Looks like you had a great time.

I didn't realize how many of you actually read every post in here. I always try to come on and post a "specific something" to someone when I know they are on, thinking it'll get lost if I don't. (have I mentioned before what a great crowd you are )

I keep pooping in for a look over there and I just wondered if you guys ever get confused between what you have posted here and and what you post in the "Red-Ringed Tupperware Party with (ineffective) Tin Foil Hats" ?

What is the essential difference between these two threads. Discuss? (and will that question ever be asked in an English Literature Exam question in the future)

For the record, I do not even attempt to read every post anymore. I'm way too busy at work to do that. I used to have a lot less going on and there used to only be 1 or two pages to catch up on.. back before the "discussion" thread. lol

I had to look it up:

vertiginous \vur-TIJ-uh-nuhs\, adjective:
1. Affected with vertigo; giddy; dizzy.
2. Causing or tending to cause dizziness.
3. Turning round; whirling; revolving.
4. Inclined to change quickly or frequently; inconstant.

We hug a lot in here (just ask Alan). Over there, they moo (or kvack)... :)

Actually, the two threads are very different from each other. It's kind of hard to explain.

The biggest difference is that I tend not to post in the Tupperville thread. ;)

I'm not sure what the difference is, except different inhabitants. That and tuppers have a bit of an edge to ourselves (it's hard to explain really, but it seems like one or another of us is dancing on the edge of some precipice or another) and this one always seems rather haven like (especially when the Pub is open ). No confusion though, except once when Wanda deleted a zillion posts....

LOL.... I was going with the first definition. ;)

Hiya Permie. :D I Love love love the new Tupperville Ranch website!!!

Neil... the two threads are very different. But there are many of us that frequent both of them. I pop in to Tupper and read quite often, but I rarely post there. No reason though except that I really can only keep up with one.

Very much the same, Very much different. Lots of chatting in both. Subjects very different. More hugs here more matter of fact there (but not less friendly). And yes once I thought I was posting here and was in fact posting there. It is much easier for me to be a SM here than there. My humor does not go over as well there, so I tend not to share it as much.

is anyone else having as hard a time as I am trying to pinpoint the differences btw. the two threads? We do talk about similar things and different ones...but there's more than the mooooo that makes us different, I just can't pinpoint it.
