My parents buy for everyone. It is limited, and there is nothing extravagant, but that is how we have all been raised, so it's all good.
I remember growing up, we each got two gifts on Christmas morning... one from Santa, and one from mom and dad. And I remember almost every single gift I ever got. I wouldnt change it for all the presents in the world.

anyway, I digress.

We draw names in my family. My parents buy for all their kids and grandkids  but we only buy for the one sibling and their family that we drew.

This year, we drew my sister who is expecting her 5th child. And they dont' have a camera. so... we are stretching the budget a bit to get them a camera.
How can you have 5 little kids and no way to record their childhood?? Not acceptable.

there are 5 grandkids in the family and we all buy for them, no parents or grandparents, just the kids. My dad will get something for my mom and she for him but that's it. I never go overboard on the gifts either, especially since everyone ELSE gets him stuff, lol.

My nephew's birthday is Christmas eve so we have a party for him then and there are presents (not allowed to be wrapped in xmas paper) for him and usually an unbirthday for the others as well.

lol is that a borthday pic? Looks like she's tearing into some prezzies.

How is everyone this chilly night? Well for me at least.

Actually all the grand kids (8 in total) get presents on my parents anniversary date.

It's a muggy 18 degrees here.

Night Crissa...

My family history is pretty wild...

We have 5 living generations, and 5 living generations of first daughters! My grandmother is one of 14 children, which 9 are still alive. My great grand parents have 34 great grand children that I know of. The family circle is soo big I couldn't tell you most of the numbers. But, I know that our family reunion has around 350 attendants, which some are from Australia and the U.K.

Well, had a nice weekend away with some friends. Couple of my favourite shots here...

The reason the young girl gas a strange fringe is that he brother decided to give her an un-authorised hair cut. The reason that he has a very short cut is that he tried on himself first... They're little terrors, but as you can see, both angelic.

And yes, they're twins...!

Adorable Pete :D On a related story, my youngest daughter (now 14) came downstairs one morning, I thinks she was 4ish, and stated; "Mommy, Daddy (big grin here) I DIDN"T cut my hair". LOL! Of course she had whacked an upside down V in the middle of her bangs. Her statement was made on the advise of my oldest son (then 7ish) "Don't tell mom and dad you cut your hair!" ROFL!

Too cool Nick. We also have 5 living generations (on my side of the family) 4 of those first daughters. My grandfather is the oldest of the five, followed by my mom, myself, my daughter and my granddaughter.
