Mornin all.
Woo Hoo Crissa! You'll love the tubes. They take a bit of getting used to (you will probably be like me and slap all three of them on the first lens you grab, and wonder why it's so hard to focus, lol)
But I love mine, and use them often. Not just for macro, like has been mentioned already.

Yes I got the Kenkos, I am looking forward to the learning curve, feeling a little stuck at the moment in my lens pondering (yes I am getting a new lens too I'm pretty sure if I could just make up my mind!!).

I want wider angle as my tammy is just not wide enough but I love everything else about it. I need either a 70-200 or a 50-150 for the performance stuff I shoot but am loving the wider stuff so much I want both. I was considering the 16-35L but it seems heavy and large and for the money I don't know that I'd use it all that much, I just don't know. I am still considering a 17-55IS as well.

I am also pondering getting the tammy 17-50 and the sigma 50-150 tho I would prefer a little more overlap.

I also know how to power nap...20 minute nap and I'm good to go. No doubt that will occur this afternoon.

This is my saving grace. Most days I have a 5-15 minute nap, worth 2-3 hours of sleep.

You can get Kenko tubes off of some reputable Hong Kong dealers.

There are some a bit cheaper, but this is the buyer I got mine from.

I used a HK dealer I have used before. (yep-- that's the one!) Got my Kenkos for about $103, so accidentally pushing the button on the Nifty didn't hurt so badly. :)

Dickie Jim, my man. She already purchased her tubes, it is unseemly and ungentlemanly to post a link to a less expensive set. Sheesh, where are your manners?

I am usually pretty leery about buying off ebay, particularly camera gear.

Manners, I don't know what you mean. ;)

The intent was for Jack (or anybody else), who needs to buy some.

I hope he didn't try to wrestle a horse again.

Ok I am going to third that. I hope he isn't allowing the horse to ride him again. :)

Night Crissa.

Hmmm, Zane hasn't been around in a while.....

cfpackerfan wrote in post #2374862 (external link)
Oh Zane oh Zane where are you?
We hope you aren't lame.
We miss you when you aren't here.
When you're gone it's not the same.

Please hurry back, oh Glow-boy.
Your absence leaves a hole.
We have to deal with Jack's lame jokes,
and it's withering my soul.

I am alive guys, thanks for wondering, it makes one feel warm. I guess a bit of brain funk set in but I am beating it.
I have a horse with an infected foot wound. This means meds twice a day, soaking for 20 minutes once a day, 45 minutes travel each way. Combined I guess it takes about 4 or 5 hours out of my day. The good news is Leyla dug around and pulled a 1 inch piece of wood out of his foot  so he should be on the mend now.

I cook as an excuse to avoid the rest of my life so I am researching a seafood gumbo or something of that sort. I should be in and out this evening(insert time zone here).

Oooo, share the recipe please. I did a mean lobster bisque a few New Years ago, had the lobster for New Years Eve then used the shells etc to make stock for the bisque. I need to try that again, someday.

Becky, you have yet another talent, it seems. ;) Well done. I love the gray weed one. Beautiful.

:o Awww shucky darn, thanks, lets not forget you helped guide me in the right direction. Did finish off 7 this morning and had prints made. They are in el cheapo frames for grab bag gifts with the families. These work real cool in combination with the digi sammiches.
