Heya Beth!! Here's one for you!

LOL! That playground is new, but I'll bet they've been using that sign for years! :D And I spent many a Friday night roller skating at the rec center. Ahhh.... thanks for the memory lane fix. :)

Oh, staying put for sure! I don't believe in traveling during holidays. :D

What about you? Is all your family aroung there? Or do you venture out somewhere?

three generations all live in Leonia!

Xmas eve is my nephew's birthday so its all one big party beginning on the 22nd with an annual caroling party where we actually go out door to door caroling.

I too spent many a friday roller skating at the rec, then later going on rec ski trips to vernon valley, now my nephew takes tae kwon do classes there two days a week and we recently went for a meet santa type thingie after they lit the town tree. Amazing how such a small town can be located so close to such a bustling city.

Oh, caroling!! I can't remember the last time I saw/heard carolers! Probably in Leonia! :) And you're right. I didn't really appreciate the small town feel, so close to NYC, until many years later.

My parents are (were) both musicians, singers at that so the party has always been quite an event. Getting less so now that there are more little kids and fewer pros unfortunately due to my parents aging, but it is first and foremost a tradition which is a lot of what the holiday season is about.

Hiya ladies :) (if ya'll are still there)
Crissa that sounds like a very cool tradition. That is one of my favorite parts of the holidays. Most of ours (few, but they are ours ;)) have started with me and hubby so we are only one generation in. And they are simplistic at best, but hey gotta start somewhere, right?

Lonnie is your site all moved and done? What about the shots from your latest jaunt?

I got an email saying my tubes should be here on Tuesday and I ordered a new external HD as mine is getting mighty full. Its only a 70 gig, I bought a 250. I figure I'll use it on the new machine and keep the old one as an archive. Got a great deal on buy.com using google check out paid about 85 bux and there is a $30.00 mail in rebate. woo-hoo!

I don't celebrate Christmas, so I guess you could say I'm ready.

I pretty much am, I need one more gift and some stocking stuffers and I'm done with the shopping part. I've been recording all of the TV movies like rudolph and frosty for a marathon this Friday with my son and nephews.
