Crissa, I have always wanted to ask you.... what does your user name mean?

I know... that was totally random, huh?

My last name is Skarimbas, Skrim has been a nickname and 17 is my lucky number. Waaaaaaay back in 1994 or so I logged onto AOL version 1.2 with my 486 and ...maybe 12 baud modem with that moniker and it has stuck.

Oh sure, that's easy for you to say. ;)
What nationality is that name from Crissa, I've not heard it before?

Hope nothing too serious terri!!

No, just the 'OMG I can't find my pant's , you know, the ones with the hole in the knee that goes with that one sweatshirt-I gotta have 'em for tomorrow' kind of emergency. I would never go back to 14 no matter how much I was paid

I am having MAJOR headaches with my external HD right now. It's less than a month old even! I hope yours is a million times better than mine. Yesterday it was all I could do to keep myself from beating it to death with a golf club. Only thing that saved it was that the nearest club is out in storage and there is some data on the drive that isn't backed up (and I can't access it to back it up!).

What kind of HD? I just purchased one and haven't even gotten half of my photos moved yet.

Hopefully it is just a cold, and he will be over it soon. It seems my kids get strep-throat at the drop of a hat. Let's hope it doesn't go that far, though it was a sore throat that woke him up. *sigh* Which resulted in him waking me up cause he couldnt find the medicine.
That's what startled me awake. My older boy has not had to wake me up in the middle of the night for years. And keep in mind that he is taller than I, and his voice isn't cute and sweet right now. Especially with a sore throat.
Poor kid, my reaction to him waking me up probably scared him more than he scared me, LOL.

And with that much adrenaline pumping through me, there was no hope of falling back to sleep.

I have so been there, lol. Cory (17 yr. old, 6'4") scared the crap outa me with a similar situation. Which of course scared him half to death. And then hubby got involved. Then the cat burned out on my head. Tears were involved.

I am curious as well. My hubby's last name is Vymislicky (long story) which I believe is Chech. ( I have no idea how to spell it correctly, so not gonna try).

My maiden name was Buschman. I was happy to get rid of that one and the teasing involved.

My wife was glad to lose her maiden name, Stubbs. Lots of ribbing there.

No, no ultra-fem here. In fact, there have been times I have cursed the bra-burners! Hubby actually has 2 last names; Decker and Vymislicky. The former he was born with and the latter he was saddled with when his mom remarried. When we were married he told me he wanted to legally change his name back to Decker. So, all of my legal documents and my childrens are Decker (which gets it's own brand of teasing ) his, however, remains Vymislicky. It has been 13 years and he still 'hasn't gotten around to it', lol.

Only in a my former life when I worked in the medical field and they were patients. Use to have ride in the back of the ambulance with them for the hyperbaric chamber treatments or transport them to the very first type of MRI machines.

and nutcracker shots from Becky.

Well if you mean from yesterday's dance program, they aren't very good, we were several rows back and I only had the Tammy, really, we're talking snap shot quality... only good for Grandma and the scrap book.

Now if you are talking about another nutcracker shot, since you did type lower case, I'll have to work on that.;)

Your treatments appear to be doing the trick. Are you packing it at all to allow it to heal from the inside out? With horses you pretty much have to be an expert in all kinds of health treatments. .....no doubt has made you an expert in wound care.

Thanks, we need to dig some more, appears there may be more in there.:( Horses will make you an expert in wound management in the worst of conditions. we are not packing it but physical keeping it open as needed.

Thank you, I really appreciate our health care workers. I could never do that I think I lack compassion, for humans, its terrible.

Personnally wound care was my favorite, it is amazing the amount of healing that can occur over a 24 hour period. Growing up with 3 brothers, there was no tolerance of squimishness, so open wounds never bothered me.
