Too much Christmas partying is probably accounting for the red eyes

How'd you know??

And shall stay alive as long I keep my internet anonymity. (I hope)

Uh, huh. Whatever, Mr. Richard James Bennet from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Awww Cat, I hear the bark but I just can't imagine there is much of a bite. ;)

I don't bark. It's a waste of good biting energy. :p

Cat, oh please don't hurt me, I retract everything. Is that grovelling enough. :p

If you include some good German chocolate with that grovel, it just may work.

My wife gives me swats on a regular basis, even though they are never deserved.

Uh huh. We believe you.

I just can't seem to shake this 'foot-in-mouth' disease.
I lied about my real name anyway just to throw you all off. I'm really a 17 yo girl with a manly disposition. ;)

Crissa, you may already know this, but try to shoot at f11 to get a half decent DOF, I see you used f3.5 and f2.8 on those shots. If the light is poor light I often handhold my flash to get it at the right angle if the lens is too close to the subject. Try to always use some support too, either resting on some solid surface or using a tripod/monopod.

My first shots were outside in bright light and some came out great. They do take a little practice but once you figure them out, then no problem.

I hear you Jim, I did use my flash but it was attached. I did these in my kitchen, but the light wasn't great. These are crops, the originals look better, lol. I don't have a cord for my flash either so it'll have to do.

My eyes see well enough, and the camera is capable enough, now if they would just work together.

I see it is true, that the list never ends. I suppose now you will need an offshoe cord and a bracket. :)

I'm just adding to my own list also. ;) :)

I've been pondering the offshoe cord for a while, we'll see...

Pondering usually turns to purchasing ;)

That's my experience anyway.

the offshoe cord is worthwhile. Getting the flash away from the camera is fabulous. There is also a wireless transmitter, but you can buy a new EX430 for nearly the same price and it can also transmit wirelessly.

I've always known of braces as those metal things an orthodontist puts on kids' teeth to straighten 'em.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.
