We need to post a warning in here tonight.

No beverages allowed without protective monitor coverings in place.

Too late, wiping coffee off now.

DOn't forget the Creamy part!

Hmmm... I seem to have erased that part from my remembery. I have no recollection of that as part of the moniker.

Jeez, Lonnie. I've met you, and you just didn't come off that way at all. What did I miss? Does Ashley know?

No, there are a few secrets I keep from Ashley, just so she'll continue to tolerate me.

The dancing banana part of that was because of this:

IMAGE: http://www.ldphotography.net/Smilies/banana.gif

Despite my protests that I stole that from CDS, the gals here have stuck me with that name anyway. I've given up on protesting and learned to accept it...

The "man-****" part is Pete's pet name for me because I convinced him to spend a lot of money on new lenses.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

Now, Lonnie- don't be difficult. ;)

The creamy part came at 5000. I even created a drink for you to help you earn some cash out on the road with the POTN All Male Member Review.

BTW, we had an EARTHQUAKE last night!

How strong was it?

Living here in Southern California, I've felt more quakes than I can remember. We just shrug most of them off and go about our normal lives, but when the Northridge Earthquake hit, that one kind of demanded attention for a while.

just use your regular flash... and coat a bit of card in aluminium kitchen foil with the dull side facing out (not as harsh light that way).... and use that to bounce the flash down onto the subject.... use 1/200sec ISO 100 f/11 (any lower than f/11 and the image will start to look soft due to lens diffraction) and have the flash set on ttl.... press the fel button to lock the flash exposure on a mid tone and the flash should provide enough power to light the subject properly (it will even compensate fore the reflected light) (good for a temporary fix till you get a cord)

Thanks Alan, I think I'll print this out and put it in my bag next to my tubes!!

4.7 or 5.1 depending on the source. I wasn't overly impressed with it - nothing fell off of shelves or tables etc. but to hear other people talking about it today you'd think it was major. We are about 5 miles from the epicenter, so pretty close.

Just teasing about drinking. BTW Cat - red wine is one of my favorites too. The other is G&T. So I can drink with you and Alan. ;)

Oh - and can any of you recommend some good books to me? I am going to Bangkok this weekend and there's a fairly good English book store there (NONE here).

I can't take sweet drinks of any sort like kahlua or peppermint schnapps and such, I also don't like any kind of scotch or whiskey.

A good beer, gin or vodka is about my limit.
