Good morning, Ga!

No, I guess that's a goodnight. I needs me beauty sleep. Time for me to head for greener pastures for a while.

:D Nighty night Lonnie!

Thanks Terri. It's water sprayed onto a CD. No flash, just kitchen lights.

Wu: Congrats on the Mac, YAY! And I think having your Bean (so funny, that is what I called Jaiydann when Nikki was pregnant) call you Wu is a surefire way to beat out the traditional first word of Da :)

Hey eve if Da comes first, i still get to be the first grandparent type person to make claims, I bet!

That's cool about your Bean. I've oly known one other person who has used that name for their grand. Chris and Angie use Bean all the time now, and apparently so do her folks. It may stick.

Alan, thanks for the Macro Flash tip. :) I already printed that out.

Now if Santa would only hurry and bring my tubes.

Congrats on the award there Pete.

I bought one of these when I got my flash. It helps out quite a bit with the macro work as well, especially how you can redirect the bounce in any direction you like...

You ladies were kind of full of yourselves last night.

I'm glad to see Jim and Lonnie held up the boys side of things, since I wasn't around to take all the flack.

Pete, I made something very similar for my old flash. It still fits on the 580, and is held in place with a rubber band. I cut a couple different types of material to put on the inside for different reflective effects, but the main part is from an old plastic milk carton. Works pretty well, for a homemade device, and looks similar to what you have there. The 580 has a little pull out reflector for doing catch lights and giving a small amount of the light directly onto the subject, but it is limited to very little adjustment. It isn't very big either.

Yeah, I was pretty lazy and just bought it with the flash. I'm considering a proper diffuser though as I find myself taking more shots of people. Taking shots with the reflector on seems to be a little inconsistant. It also gets in the way a fair bit when it's crowded...

I can see where it might be kind of tough to handle in a crowd. :)

Oh yeah, the toughest of crowds to be in. (hey Pete said it first, I'm just agreeing) ;) :o

I feel so sorry for you having to fight through the throngs of beautiful women. ;)
Must be really tough.

I didn't know big cameras made people seem so attractive!!

Big Cameras? The big lens probably helps too :) ;)
