Sorry you have been under the weather, also, glad to know you're getting better

That was sort of the idea and why I made the comment about putting my 'club head' on.

I found it amusing in a satirical way.

This is one very sad, depressed banana...

Well that SUCKS!!! I'm sending you a comforting hug cause I don't know what else to say or do.

This is about all the time I can spend here today. Have to get ready for a family function then we are heading into Chi Town for the anniversary shoot. Don't expect to get home before 11:00 tonight. Have a good day, everyone.

And thanks, Mark for your club-head - not that I'd enter that shot for any competion of course. Hope you get your windscreen sorted out easily - mine's one with heating elements in it, so it would be pretty expensive to sort out. Insurance is nice that way.

I've done a re-treatment of that shot. Used curves to darken the sky a little and put some contrast into the foreground (and given you more of it). I like the way the wide angle seems to push everything onto the horizon.

I like the inclusion of the foreground Pete. It does help to draw the eye in and emphasise how the tess have been pushed to the background. I agree with Athena about the area on the right - there does not seem to be much there to hold the eye - what would it be like if you cropped a bit off there?

What the hell did I do to deserve this attack on my web site?!? ... This is one very sad, depressed banana...

No idea how I can help but wish I could. I use phpwebhosting and have always found their support helpful. Occasional downtime but rare and not normally for long.

Lonnie,

I can actually access your site at the moment. It's slow but I can get something.

Dunno if that helps. At least it'll give you some sort of timecheck if needed.

Sorry bout the site Lonnie, hope it gets resolved soon. If its any help I've had great luck with 1and1 for hosting but I've never had anything as detailed as yours.

I took pics of my favorite bridge again today, I was trying to get a refraction in a drop but focusing was too difficult in the one area I could get the drop, I was on my belly about 12 inches off the ground. I'm going back when I have more time and a better set up for the drop!

here's my attempt :(

I've been absent due to illness and to an earthquake that broke an undersea communications cable and left a lot of Asia with slow to non-existent internet. After a very unpleasant trip to the hospital yesterday, I am on the mend and I think the internet is back somewhat. :D

Pete - I like the calm in that image, but would probably crop it after the little bush next to the large tree.

Glad your on the mend! I hate being under the weather.

I like this version Pete. I get a very Stephen King feel from this :)

I like your attempt Crissa :D I am looking forward to your next! What was your set up for this shot? I am sure it involved the tubes...
BTW, just found out I may have a belated Christmas gift from my brother. The word Kenko was overheard :)

Hi everybody.
Crissa, you might try going to Adobe's website and updating your CS2. The raw reader is a plug-in and you need to load it, if I remember correctly.

Lonnie, sorry to hear about your terrible luck. That sounds like a lot of work, then have it all go down the drain. Is there something the rest of us might be able to learn from your experience? What caused the attack?

Pete, I liked the original better. It was the lack of color and contrast that made it interesting. The second crop is more interesting, though.

Athena, glad you're healing. I heard a little about the earthquake, but didn't think it would affect your area. Guess the earth is rather small after all.

It wasn't nearly as bad here in Denver as they said it was going to be. I hear that east of here into Kansas is really getting it though.

Did I hear Kenko mentioned from you too?

Alas, my tubes are still stuck in limbo somewhere. :( Probably not going to get then in 2006. :( Oh well, 2007 will start out pretty well then.

Yep Terri it was my 50 with the tubes (all of them), I don't really manually focus with the ring, just move myself closer and farther away till its in focus. It was too close to the ground to use a tripod and the one I have is REALLY lousy.

:) Tis all a big mystery. My brother told me that he had ordered a special sumpin for me for Christmas and it should arrive in the next week or so. My sister was then overheard (by me, LOL) asking my brother what a Kenko was. If 2 plus 2 equals 4 I'm gettin some tubes! *YAY*
