I have an Elan 7E, too. I don't use it as often as I should, but every once in a while I'll pull it out of the bag. It's a great camera. You'll love it! The eye control is really cool. I don't understand why they haven't put that into any of these digital bodies.

Whatever you linked to has apparently been deleted already. What was it?

I'm the most interested in the eye-control focus. Is it difficult to use? I keep picturing in my head, having the shot focused, and moving my eye and it messes up, LOL.

Crissa's link was to a post in the wedding forum, where the poster kinda bashed the couple saying that it might have been a 'marriage of convenience' and they didn't really act like they were in love.
A poster came on and laid into her, saying that she knew the couple, and the poster should be ashamed, and that the link to the post had been sent to the couple.

A wedding shooter posted some pics, someone commented they looked rather un-emotional, photog agreed and said the couple weren't in love and it was rushed cause one was a mormon and the other converted. Someone commented that the B&G were her cousins and how could the photog post comments like that and photos and she was telling her cousin and making sure everyone in XXX wouldn't use her yadda yadda yadda.

Evening all, I'll be lurking the background as I PP the pictures from Saturday night. Hope everyone's day was better than mine, but; the month-end reports are done and ready to send out tomorrow morning, so a brighter day is on the horizon.

:D :D

Just a few doors to the right, there used to be a candy store. The owner was in a camp during WWII and had numbers tattooed on his arm. He was pretty grumpy with a lot of the kids (probably trying to pocket stuff) but was always a sweetheart to me. Very strong lesson for me at a very early age.

And a few MORE door to the right and you run into my elementary school; Anna C. Scott school!

Everybody sing along.... Memries......

That shot of your cat was AMAZING,

I tried to get a pic of Betty Lou's for you since I knew it would be a memory for anyone who attended ACS, but I couldn't get it. It is now a Korean stationary store, mega "hello kitty".

Betty Lou's!!! I couldn't for the life of me remember the name of the place. And that shot of my friends cat (Romeo or Willy, can't remember which) is highly PPd. :D

Some of you asked, so here is my favorite shot from Saturday night. It is exactly the kind of interaction we try to capture at this kind of function. The lady is the anniversary wife, our friend's mother, and the little boy is our friend's nephew:

Used the Sigma EF-500 flash, Tamaron 28-75 @47.0mm; f/2.8;1/250; ISO200; Flash compensation 1-1/3

Used the LumiQuest ProMax system all night, but; kept switching between the white liner, soft box hood, and ceiling bounce. I think, I had the liner in at this point, not sure about the soft box hood though.

Curt and I were ready to pack up, I turned and saw this moment about to happen and took about 4 shots, this one caught the best interaction.

Glad the rest of you like it as well.

It's a pretty serious situation for the photographer. There are legal issues with posting customer's images on the internet without their consent, but more severe in this case are the comments, which amount to libel/slander.

Hopefully she has a contract spelling out her rights to use the images and hopefully she can smooth things over with the family.
