It is a long story but if life is like surfing it is better to be on top of the wave.;)

I'll buy that!

Very true and oddly philosophical.

It beats my idea of always having a UHF radio handy to call the Coast Guard when you're drowning. Geez, Athena always has the cool, philosophical stuff....

Thats like calling the police while getting robbed. They will come take a report, maybe even catch the guy, but you are still gonna get robbed.

I dunno, I think it'd be cool to be helo'd once in my life. It's not a New Year's resolution, or anything, like my wanting to be struck by lightning, but to be a Coast Guard statistic would be something to tell the grandkids...

Hmmm I did the helo thing once. It is a quick way to the hospital but they got you strapped down and don't let you look out the window no matter how much you whine.

Oh. Well then, forget it. Probably won't let you take pics out of the helo port, either. Pity. Another great idea down the drain. So I guess we'll just stick to Athena's SCUBA credo.

On a side note, it would be somewhat difficult to surf being completely decked out in SCUBA gear. It might give the impression that one lacks personal confidence in the sport....
