Technical question for you all..... hopefully someone can help me.

I need a digital voice recorder.
I need it to be able to do a continuous record for at least 90 minutes, and I need to be able to hook it to my computer and burn the recordings to a CD.

Any thoughts??

Okay, I got it at Radio Shack (not cheap ) It is an Olympus Digital Voice Recorder WS-100. I don't remember how long the continuous record is, but I bought the largest capacity they had at the time. It comes with a USB to download to your computer :D (I have yet to use that function)

Oh, believe me. I've been a sponge. I've been reading and studying and reading and studying, and even posting on occasion. I think my addiction is well underway.

I've already been feeling the money thing. That's why I've been staying away from certain websites. Not sure I'd be able to restrain myself. :)

What is your favorite photo subject?

Does it load to your PC, and you can burn it to CD?

iRiver. Lots of podcasters use them to record out in "the field" when they're away from the computer. The sound quality is crystal clear. It records to an MP3 file, so you can burn it to CD like any other sound file.

Lonnie, that's the one hubby was just looking at. Have you ever used one?

Landscapes inspire me most. I came back from our Yellowstone vacations with thousands of photos.

Not yet, but it's on my list. Glacier is too. If my husband could find a way to move his job out West, we'd move the family in a minute.

Not yet, but I want one. Maybe I'll pick one up with my next paycheck.

There are several different models of iRiver. They're basically all the same quality, just different capacities and physical sizes, kind of like the differences between different iPod models.

Yes, that's the one.

That is the theory. I haven't tried it yet, but there is a cable to download to the computer. I assume then it becomes an audio file and you can do whatever you wish with it.

Cat, my son uses the Sansa MP3 player as a voice recorder, and that way it doubles as a MP3, video, FM radio, and photo player also. Pretty cool. He says the recorder works really well and is almost as clear, when he records from the radio, as the MP3s are that he plays. Here's (external link) the link to the one he has.

Jack

My eyes see well enough, and the camera is capable enough, now if they would just work together.
