Hey Chris, did you ever try those extension tubes with the 70-200mm?

Hiya Pete. We are done. :D For now.

And I just realized that ALL quotes have that little blue arrow. Must be something new. Or something I never noticed before. Am I senile?

Good day all. Good conversations going last night, sorry I missed out, but; after some delicious Beer Shrimp, thanks Cat, my eyes slammed shut and I was gone for the rest of the night. (got the Pototo Soup recipe, some more coming your way later today)

Zane - Wow, what a week, glad to hear you're on the mend...take it one day at a time.

Terri - Your shots look very good. The walls seem pretty white, try custom WB the next time you go in, you should be able to get a read off the white walls. Also, RSE has that white balance dropper, the stripe on the girls uniforms would be a good reference point to drop on. And try some at 3200 ISO you'll be able to get a faster shutter. Curtis N's 20D at 3200 is a lot less noisy than my 300D at 1600. Then run it through Noise Ninjah or try the noise reduction in PSP X, or some other noise reduction software.

Trying for a sharp picture...still trying myself. But, working in a controlled situation has helped. Take the same shot of a still figure using different exposures helps to embed what exposures give stop action tack sharp images, what exposures reduce or deepen DOF, etc. I've read lots of books, but; it isn't until I can see comparison results from pictures I've taken myself that it really starts to sink in. Then I can draw on the memory banks when shooting. And, I will ususally take serveral exposures in any single shooting situation, not necessarily bracketing, though I do that too, but all kinds of setting. And then every once in awhile, I get real lucky.:D

Pekka's done a software upgrade. There's a post about it in Forum Talk, but I've not had time to read much at all this afternoon.

Pekka did an upgrade during the night. The forum was down for about 5 or 6 hours. Perfect... Right when I finally had a chance to start catching up on the threads I hadn't been reading all week!

I really want to come across as a Great Master but alas I just stumbled across it with that post. :o

I selected (highlighted) the text in Chris's post, then hit quote and it just happened. ;)

That's new, I know there was an announcement that there was going to maintenance done this morning, that must be part of it. Looks like it will catapult you back to the original post. Very cool, I have sometimes gone back to original post, it took some searching, so this is a nice shortcut.

Very good, next time I'll use 1/2 box of Vermicilli instead of a full pound, though.

Did you try the Chawdah?

It is suppose to get very fall like after today, so I'm thinking the potato soup will be real good next weekend. Since my child flew the coop, I only cook on the weekends. During the week it is leftovers or frozen entrees.

I'm scooting out for awhile, still have a couple of shots to take for WWPD then need to PP all of them and get them posted. Will catch up later today.
