Ooooh ooooh ooooh!!! Lovely, Wanda!! I used to have one of them (but no-IS). Worse mistake of my life getting rid of it when I got my 100-400. You'll love it!

Go out, get shots, use it, don't look at it..!

Its just a loaner for a while, to see if I like it. It looks more like a weapon than a lens, lol. Too cold to go out, but maybe in a bit. Haven't put it on the camera yet. I have to sign up for weight lifting classes first. :D I laughed about the weight when I was researching it, but I can say now that it is SERIOUSLY heavy!

Yeah, the 100-400 is a bit weighty, but I'm now getting used to using the monopod a lot more and it helps a great deal to support the weight.

I loved my 70-200. But then it was lighter than yours. It's not neccessarily an outdoor lens. Something that fast is really good for portrait work as well.

I work in a federal building. The only other people here this early are armed guards. Not sure I want to point this lens at them.

What happened to your arm Athena?

I messed up the tendons in my shoulder playing with the kids on the trampoline. Good Mom, Bad Shoulder. My hip is a different story...weird one. Interested?

Sorry to hear I'm not the ONLY one in pain. I have a subluxation in my neck and it's putting pressure on some nerves. So my whole neck hurts, my right shoulder all the way down to my elbow. It's awesome!! The best part is that I get to sit at a desk all day typing and operating a mouse with that same arm.

Oh, morning to all the west coasters, afternoon to all the europeans and it's almost lunch time for the east coast!! yay! :)

good mornafterevening all. :) Continue current conversation. I'm interested in the hip story. ;)

Oh and Jim.... THAT'S the reason why I don't go to gyms. Too many lookers with DOMS.
Of course, I don't have to worry about that too much right now.... There are younger tighter things that they would be lookin at. LOL

I observe more than the younger tighter things, besides there are not too many of those in the gym at 5:00AM. :)
There are lots of shapes in there on people of all ages, there are even a few older than me (I know, hard to believe). There are many more hunky guys in the gym than fit girls anyway, a good reason for you going then (I do believe women can suffer from DOWS too). ;) I avoid going in the evening as it is a zoo then.

I had a bunch of spare weight I needed to shed and am slowly getting there, this being an office/business type guy instead of out there physically working on my jobs tends to give me secretary spread. Besides, other than 2-3 times a week walking the dog, and my occasional outdoor pursuit activities I do not get much exercise. That, and I'm afraid my 16 year old son will catch up to me on the ski hill, and I can't let that happen. ;)
