I was driving, so all I had was a taste. Wowzer. It was a good'un. I'll have to try that one when I can sit for a spell....

I'm going to a late lunch and hopefully to pick up a cake or something from the bakery. I decided I am making NOTHING for tonight. ;)

Good for you! If I were you, I'd just pick up a couple of Twinkies and take them to the party. Then, went dessert is served, open a package, take a bite, then pass it to the next person.

Ah, desserts on the cheap. I got a thousand ideas.....

Actually I figured it out a LONG time ago (last summer?) when you both posted photos that contained the same framed image of Jesus. I've known all this time. ;)

:D Yeah - that was when I figured out there was some link too ;) Then PG starts shooting with an XT when Cat gets the 30D...

See! I was right!

Hydrogenation just turns oil into fats - no more unhealthy than fats then - which is pretty unhealthy! I only said "healthier than cream" - which is LOADED with fat! :)

Hmm. Not quite - hydrogenation creates transfats, which cannot be processed by the body properly and (aledgedly) can cause several health problems. Which is why there is a campagin against transfats and they are about to be banned from UK school meals, as far as I am aware (I work for a foodservice company ;))

Athena wrote in post #2607508 (external link)
yeah, cream is saturated fat too...
I'm curious though why they wouldn't use an alternative vegetable oil in coolwhip like products to avoid the high saturated fat... cost??

Yup. The mighty dollar/baht/pound/euro.

Yay Terri. Come on everyone - time for a last look through the archive...

With a bit of sweet talking/begging/eyelash batting, I managed to find/buy a whole apple pie. I'd have gone for the twinkies Puddle, but that's one more thing we don't get here. ;)

On a less possitive note (but equally bull-headed), I haven't taken the NSAID I was supposed to take after breakfast because they make me feel bad (hot, dizzy, dazed). Blech. I guess I can just take it with the Ultracet at bedtime.
