Great links, Jim, thanks! And I think maybe I'll be just a little bit conservative in my shooting from now on.

I wouldn't worry at all Wanda, there are reports of Rebels making it way higher though some have failed a bit earlier. It is just a reported expected number. If you planned to keep a Rebel 3 years that would be 320 shots per week every week for 3 years. I know I can have weeks of 1000 or so shots, but many, many more where I only have a few. I would estimate in near 2 years with my 20D I have taken about 20,000 images.

Hey Jim, have you found out what a 'city canyon' is yet? (The current TPBM, if anyone wonders.)

I'm as baffled as you! :(

Terri, I have a friend who also loves purple, if there is a purple option when purchasing something she is all over it. She has macro photos of mine on her wall because they were taken of insects on purple flowers. It is almost like a disease for her, hopefully you are not quite as striken. ;)

Close ;) Black and silver combo's are a very close second.

I would hazard a guess that it would be something like a street shot featuring the towering skyscrapers???

OOOOOH! I am sooooo aggravated! I have finally gotten to the point where I am ready to transfer some of my prints to digital files. Having had a bit of foresight prior to getting my digital cam, I started having my prints saved to a CD at the time of processing.
I dug out two sets of prints that have a few shots I am pleased with along with the CD (processed at Wal Mart). Guess what? Nothing on the CD. Nuttin'! Now I know that I can scan these prints, but it's the principle of the thing dammit!

ok rant over

And your scans will probably be better than whatever Wal-mart could do. I have a case of photos on CDs. I should probably put them on a hard drive or DVD or something. Give me more to look through for TPMB requests, lol.

I don't think I've ever shot a city canyon, but I did shoot from the observation deck of the Hancock in Chicago.
