I have to tell you all something. Its a sad story. Sad but true. About a zoom you once knew. WHOOPS. Damn this 1950's diner music!!!

Alright. I confess. I cant do with out a zoom in my stable. I broke down and got another 24-70 2.8 today. Miss this one the most. Wedding I recently shot for my Bro in law would have been much easier if I had kept this one. So I am still a prime guy with an deeper understanding of the necessary evils of zooms.

Hi, my name is Dante, I am an "L"coholic...

I love mine!!! It is a good beast to have in your kit. I say toss out the primes and zoom it up again! Must more verisitle. Keep a fast prime or two for those bokeh desired situations. but for the most part bokeh is not needed with a fast prime (in my opinion)

You are funny Pell. Think this should hold me for some time. most times I know what I am going to go shoot and what access I will have, so I prefer primes. But this will alwas be there ready to go.

Dante, you've got to try the 28-300L lens. Ignore for a moment all the bad publicity, try it and if you don't like it, you'll donate it to the "L-challenged kids of California" foundation. All joking aside, you have a nice collection of gear and you'll have real good time adding this baby to your arsenal.

Cheers, Chancellor.

I have always wanted to. I loved the versatility of my tammy familiar. gonna start saving for my 50 1.2 first. I do like the idea of this lens. Can you post some pics with minimal pp thru the zoom range?
