You know, the 70-200 IS is a perfect companion for the 24-70. 
OK, all kidding aside, the 24-70 is a very versatile lens, as you well know.

I don't have a load of cash to afford all the lenses I've had. So, I took the "sure thing" and bought and sold it as necessary, to afford myself the pleasures of trying each and every sub $2k L available, I think. Mac users swear by their computers. PC users swear at theirs.
