They really have long tongues. I call this a lucky shot

I see the hummer in my yard often do this and it seems to be some type of excersize they do..I have a similar image from a different angle /pose.

Which lens did you use for this pic? I'm asking because I'm trying to decide between the 100-400 and the 400. I take a lot of hummingbird pics myself (currently with the 70-200), many times at minimum focus distance. I'm worried that with the 400 the bird doesn't fill the frame because of its long minimum focus distance and I'd need to crop a lot. I like the fast AF though. If you have any advice I'd appreciate it
