where to buy the XTi

I was at my local best Buy and i found the XTi there and I am haveing trouble deciding to buy it directly from them or to wait and buy it from Adorama or BH Photo

I am going to get a Mack Camera Repair Waranty also either way

why not just get a 30d?

Maybe he doesn't have the extra $3-400, eh? It's 800 or 1200 (give or take).

Brad, Best Buy, Circuit City, and Staples should all have them in stock. I'm all for B&H, especially since you don't have to pay sales tax on 800 bucks (something like $60-ish here), but if you want it immediately, go for it at a local store. Look on the bright side. The tax you'll pay partially equals out the shipping cost from B&H.

well i dont want the 30d because its rather large and im fine with the xti I have rather large hands because im 6'5" but im mainly using this for my school yearbook and i dont want to spend that much on a camera

my reason for this was should i pay taxes or pay shipping

Better yet, if you've got a local camera store you can patronize go there. They'll be there for all of your questions, unlike the big box stores. On a new release like the XTi, I wouldn't expect there to be much, if any price difference. I've given B&H a fair share of money over the years, but when financially feasible, I go to my local shop, where I can hold the camera, try the lenses, ask all the questions I need while getting knowledgeable answers in return.
