Here is one of my favorite pictures from a recent trip to the zoo. Travis F has been trying to get me to post some pictures here for a few weeks to get some honest CC. So let me know what you think.

Thanks in advance
Jasen

Surfologist Melman was great. I will hug him and squeeze him and name him....melman.

cmM thanks I think I may have over processed with curves and levels. The actuall photo was much lighter.

thanks for the quick replys.

Hey Jasen glad you finally made it here!

I worked on your original picture a little. If you go to the user control panel and check the image editing OK button, I'll post it for you. Otherwise I can send it to you via PM

Travis

And here is my edit. Didn't do much just added a screen layer and adjusted the opacity to brighten it. I also added a high pass filter layer for sharpening.

Might be a little overdone - Hope you like it

Travis

OK, I like the first one. That is definately the color of Michigan grass after a rain. Nice rich colors on his hide, and you can't beat that expression. :D

Thanks again. You are my new best friend! The first one is my favorite also. But, I agree it is a little dark/underexposed/over contrasted? (if that's a word)

Naaa, I use the curves tool the same way. I just like the rich colors better. ;)

Im back...

I think it may look a little underexposed too, but i didnt say anything, because that is the way my pics are too, i always make them darker, and more saturated than normal.

When you are messing with "levels" in photoshop, use the mids more than the dark and lighter bars, you know what i mean? I think a combo of the right mids, a LITTLE light and dark adjustment, and some contrast, usually gets a pic looking great.

Anyway i still think it looks great

Just wanted to add another attempt at this one. I guess I thought it was worthy. I added the same screen layer but masked out the BG on this one. Let me know what you think!

FYI: This was a very quick job. I should have used a smaller brush around the "camel" but I wanted to get it done fast.... Sorry

Travis
