Hi all, i now have a new shiny 60mm efs macro lens.
I now realise why you need a dedicated macro lens, this thing is so sharp. Its very challenging but i am learning whole new lessons in DOF.
The one bad thing is how much dust there is on my sensor which the macro lens kindly shows on every image lol, o well it was time to clean it anyway.
Here are 2 samples of what i have managed to capture so far, not great but i just wanted to prove i have started macro, and i am now hooked.

Congrats on the lens, very good shot of a Cross spider (can't remember the exact name but there was a post on this same spider a few days ago with the genus).

Good choice of lens - excellent for portraits and some general work too. Veeery sharp. These spiders (Garden Cross) are not easy to get good shots of with their suprisingly reflective surfaces and of course legs getting in the way, not bad at all.
