I love these cuckoos! Here are a couple shots from my trip to Cape May this morning. Cuckoos were fairly prominent and vocal today. This one has a caterpillar in its beak.

You might also want to try a tighter crop, especially on the last one. Otherwise, those are great shots. Much better than I could do. My devices for capturing visible light

Probably so. NeatImage seems to work by softening the image. You can separate the bird though, in Photoshop, to a layer and save that as a new file, then run neat image on the original, open it back up in PS, then drag the bird layer over to the original.
