Took these of my wife today with my 300 F/2.8L IS. All shots are at F/2.8. Let me know what you think :)

Thank you very much, I am very lucky. The 300 produces some beautiful bokeh

You should have pulled out the 17mm and gotten close and intimate with you wife instead of shooting her from 100+ feet away. But that's all mentioned in another thread as we all know the teacher says no telephoto lenses for portraits.

I do love the results of your lens and when I get some thicker pockets I really think it's something worth buying.

BYW, let your wife know she's a beautiful subject and the lens was only the tool used to capture that.

Thank you for the comments, I just got a chance to test out the lens and couldn't think of a better subject than my beautiful wife :)

Very nice! Did you try a headshot at f/2.8? Maybe slap an extension tube to focus closer? That would be awesome for narrow DOF =)

Too much gear...

Taken with your 300mm??

"Here, you go sit over there & I'll pretend to be a nature photographer who stumbles upon the love of his life" :D Or did she not want you to stand too close while taking the shot?? ;) Or was the 50mm left at home??

Ah, just joshing, if I had that lens I'd want to use it as often as possible too :D Nice shots of your lovely wife with a great lens, thanks for sharing :)

Just returned after many years hiatus from this forum. I was a bit of a prat before, if I ever offended you, I'm sorry

I've got all the equipment I need, now I just need inspiration :D
