Hi and welcome to a new sigment of the GKPE challange.

The rules are, well apart from the photography ones, none. A topic can be set by anyone and the more obsure then the better it is. We will use this thread to post the photos in. the other thread can be used to talk about it.

GKPE-FC Rules:

1) Each person may submit any number of photos they wish. However due to rule #3 then I hope that it's keeped down to a min.

2) The photos must be taken by the person submitting them during the fortnight of the corresponding challenge.

3) Please be honest in your comments on photos, the idea is to learn from other people's criticisms and praise. If you will take people telling you your photo's are bad personally....maybe you should not post them.

4) Sorry the challenge is for GKPE members only (ie New Zealand residents).

5) To start a new topic, just start a new post and inlarge the txt like so.

Subject "Rain"

and let the fun start :)

hey Mark. At this stage the only rules are photography ones. so yes editing is alowed. the idea is show off photos and to get feed back. either postive or negitve. If you wont to edit the photo go for it.

I like your photo. the only thing I can say is the water drops are a bit dark for me. but that could be my monitor. I like photos that show DOF :) and I like what you have done here.

yeah it needs some work, i was going to go high key, but the phone rang and then i forgot, haha. do you have to take the photo within any time frame or could it be from last year or whatever?

yours... sorry mate, I'm going to be fully truthful in all I say on here, so....

when i look at it i think it could/should have been taken with more angle looking down or up the length to give it more depth and make it look more interesting. a lot more angle and depth with the droplets in focus. walk around your subject and scrutinize it.

I couldn't find anything to take a photo of so turned the outside light on and was tring to get a lensflare effect with the rain :)

the weather has been good the last couple of days so no more chances to take some photos of the rain

now that you have explanded it, I see what you are trying to get at. Have you thought about adjusting the white balance so it's more of a natural colour. It might come out better

Generally though, I've avoided the rain, and been looking for the sun which came today!
