As the title says, I want to see shots of autos (boats or planes, anything of that nature) with the 8mm peleng. I've been trying to organize my "needs" list...I want the 8mm and the 10-20 (or 10-22), but I'm curious as to how the 8mm handles auto shots, I would like to see the amount of distortion is "acceptable" (for me) or it's if it's just too abstract at that point. I know the 10-20/22 produce excellent results when used for shooting autos, but the 8mm is quite a bit cheaper, and more "fun" looking...so just show me you got!
thanks in advance :)

I know it is, that's why I'm so curious how it is with auto shots, because it rocks with scenery and city shots. :)

I'm assuming this lens is made more for full frame cameras??? I have the 5D. Just wondering before I pick one up.

Yes, this lens is made for 35 mm film cameras, but you have to be careful: the mirror of your camera may hit the rear of the lens. Do a search on the web, for finding out before ordering one.
One more comment: I like it more on my 20D then on my film EOS 3, because on the full frame the image is kept in a circle, like looking through the peephole.

Edit: it seems, from here, http://www.panoramaplanet.de/comp/ (external link) , that it should work.

The Peleng will not hit the mirror on a 5D. It will work fine. It will, however, be a full circle image and not like the ones above.

You would need to look at a 15/16mm fisheye for a FF to get the same effect as above.
