A few more from Friday - all at St Mary's Island on the English north east coast.

30D + 100-400mm IS, handheld at 400mm.

Sanderling - love how these guys hoon around on the beach like all the hounds of hell were on their tails!

Dunlin. I posted this one rather than another standard portrait, because I like the "busyness" of the bird here: he was riving and tearing at what appears to be the remains of a "facehugger" from the Alien Movies!

Dunlin - coming in low and fast, just ahead of the rising tide. A tide that caught me out and soaked me twice!

Very nice series Keith. I think they all are exceptional with my favorite being that flight shot, nice angle and great focus. Well done!

These are very good shots Keith, the first one in particular I like, with the clear focus and nice colours. Also I like the the last shot of the Dunlin in-flight toward's you, a great shot, well done.

All great shots. I love the jewelry the sanderling is wearing! The starlings are sharp as hell and I love the background colors. Man, that Dunlin's really taking care of that alien! Doesn't look like much of a threat now! Love the flight Dunlin shot too, amazing.
