:) yes it is! It was kinda strange seeing this post the day after!

Z3rocool - do you live reasonably locally? I was thinking if you get your camera before you get the lens in question, we could maybe meet up (East Midlands Airport?) and you could try-before-you-buy!

That's what I intend to get the prime for too. I think the prime and the zoom will be a great combo. :)

It is a great combo, although very expensive ;)

I use the 300mm f4 and 1.4x TC and they work flawless. My TC is the L version. It works flawless and is sharp. Check out this image taken about 5 feet away.

Amazing sharp! And this is a saved for web image. You'll get good results with it too.

That would be great !!

It may be a while till I get my hands on my new camera as I am thinking of holding on and saving for the 30D instead of the 350D/400D. I will let you know when I get my hands on it :)

Cheers.

Checked your Flickr site out and there are some amazing shots on there. My main reason for getting into photography more is aircraft photography, and a bit of motorsport. (WRC in December :) ) Would love to get across to the U.S to see some over there...Maybe one day when the kids have left home and the misses will get on a plane
