Set up the 400mm & 1.4 TC on a tripod with mirror lock and a cable release on the patio in my back yard this morning. ISO 800, f13 and 1/100 for the Ruby-throated and 1/80 for the Cardinal. Both were 30-35 ft away and these are cropped and pp applied. I am questioning driving miles to shot birds.

The second set is much better. Lots of detail, great catch on the hummingbird. I still don't have any shots of males. The cardinal is cool, good focus too.
