I was trying to shoot some indoor pics of my friends on a climbing wall in Berkely today. I guess my main problem was having the wrong lense. 70-300 f4-5.6 APO DG... Well anyway I never have taken indoor pics until today and I've heard that it's alot more difficult.. you people weren't kidding.. I used various settings so I could see which ones turned out best, but honestly none of them turned out very good at all. I'll post the address to the gallery in a minute.. (they are still uploading..)

Canon 350D | EF 17-40 f4 L | EF 50 f1.8 | "Kit Lens" | EF 70-200 f2.8 L on order | Sigma 70-300 APO DG Macro | EF 1.4x II L

I know exactly what you mean.. sometimes changing to a fast prime, grabbing a speedlight or going for a light switch can salvage some bad lighting.. sometimes it's best to put the camera away and save yourself the aggravation.. Next time give it a try with your nifty or the 100mm... you can get shots in light that you definately can't with the lens you were using..

Kevin- Hello to everyone in Moo-Town !!... I spent a few months in Vacaville and Fairfield. Very nice place.

Just get out tomorrow and take more pictures. Even if you have a dayjob, just bring your camera with you, and take a walk for lunch. Don't let the biterness linger.

I myself have one of those days every once in a while. It is a sucky feeling. But like in racing, or flying, or scrapbooking, or even cocodrile hunting, there are good days and bad days.

Find consolation in the fact that you just used your bad shoot for the next few weeks, and now there are only good pictures to take.

Cheers,
