I'd like some CC on this pic. It was taken this afternoon, just a quick shot that somehow I really adored. This kid is really hard to capture as some 2 year olds can be ;) and her blonde hair leads to alot of blowouts too.
It was taken with an A610, probably on manual mode(autofocus)AWB. The only PP done was 'defogging' and resize and a slight crop.

Thanks for looking!

She's a lovely little girl. I see why you love this shot. Personally, it doesn't really grab my attention- it's unique in that it's an in your face shot, but she doesn't have any expression. The background doesn't do much for the shot either. Black on one side and white on the other- it's a little distracting. How to make this shot better? I'm not sure, but keep a careful eye on the background for distractions like this colour imbalance.

One thing is for sure though- she has beautiful eyes and you've captured them in perfect focus. Nice one.

The exposure looks a tiny bit off on the left side of her face but it's not fatal. Obviously there is some mixed tones, both dark and white behind her that the camera tried it's best to balanced along with the front lighting source. Her face has a bit of a "fish-eye" look which gives her a bit of character if that's the desired effect.

With her red hair and very fair skin you'll have to try more subtle lighting (shaded, etc) especially on bright outdoor days.

She'll bring you plenty of great pictures. She's a real cutie.

Thanks! She is very pale, probably due to the fact we're just coming out of winter into some good outdoors weather.
I see now what you are speaking of with the dark/light background. It does look a little odd now I see it again. I'll try to improve the background in future shots.
