EOS Rebel won't turn on

My EOS Rebel will not turn on.
I have a fully charged battery but when I switch it on nothing happens.
I check batter in another camera and it works fine.

Does anyone have any suggests as to what may be the problem or what I can check next.

Is the CF card in?

First thing to do would be to check to see if the battery contacts in the camera are clean.
