Not related to the picture, but I have been without DSL at my house since Thursday

I never thought about how much I rely on the internet for news, entertainment, communication, etc. Not being able to log onto POTN hurt too. I caught up on a lot of sleep this weekend though :D

Just a snap I took the other day.

Comments welcome.

I like it...I often see negaive comments about "snaps" but I sort of like them myself. The eyes in this one catch my attention...well done.

Hehe, I wouldn't really consider this a "snap" IMO. Composition wise this is 90% better than most "snaps" I've seen. ;) Just enough DOF for my tastes. :D

What eyes! Very nice!

A high speed connection is more important than a microwave to me.

To me a snap is anything unplanned. I was walking outside and she was walking in. No planning. Most of my favorite shots are snaps :)

I would rate it right up there with the phone after this weekend.

You did a great job just for a snap shot Sam. I love taking snap shots of my family at get togethers. I have gotten some of the best photos that way. Glad your DSL is back up.

It's just not fair :( .

As adults, we get wrinkles, age spots, gray hair(s), and tired looking eyes. When I look at this child, I get envious. She's quite pretty.

We photographers can capture a smile, stare at it and enjoy it, and then smile ourselves. Maybe even feel young again.

Thanks for sharing.

Awesome- one of my favourite shots you've taken! I think your talent is proven by the fact that this simple 'snap' is a superior photograph in every way. Nice one Sam.
