Hi Robert, the timer on the 1DS MKII can be set at 2 seconds or 10seconds, therefore I prefer using the 2 sec timer rather than a remote release. Does the same job, and split second shutter release timing is not an issue.

Ok, that makes more sense then. I had envisioned you standing around for 10 seconds waiting for the shutter to release. ;) :D I guess it's also one less thing to have to carry in the field.

Another fine set Les. I particularly like the last shot of the beach and moonlight lovely sea. The beach huts are very colourful and remarkably clean!!!

I was over at wells next the sea a couple of weeks ago and the huts there are very ropey in comparison....must be money in Whitby.......:)

Very nice series. All different. All have their own merit.
The mono tone with the lone figure reminds me of my friends in Whitby. They daily walk their dogs on the beach.

Love the fourth image Les. I know how you like to use saturated colours in most of your work but I do like the way you have gone for a monotone effect - this image cries out for it, love the way you have caught the sun picking out the breaking waves on the horizon. Lovely piece !!
Regards Alan.
