First post here! (if you can't see the image, let me know!!!)

This is my 18mth old daughter Mya. We were just playing around after I got home from work and she heard something out side and went to take a look.

50mm 1.4 - ISO 200, f/2.0, 1/60. I am really lovin those Kubota tools.

C & C welcomed.

It was shot at almost 7 pm. Kids got to bed at 8:30. Edited, printed, and framed by 10:00!!!

This is such a sweet photo of your daughter. Was this with available light only?

Yep. I seem to be exploring this alot lately. I assisted in my first wedding (external link) on 9/2 where I was the available light guy. It was a GREAT learning experience. I have only been shooting for 4 mths, but I really seem to be drawn to available light shots (that and I don't have a flash :o ). I enjoy the romance of the look.

Thanks for the compliments!!

I really like the fact that her face is lit up and the rest is in shadow. Thanks for answering my question.

Great shot! It's hard to tell on a small pic but it looks like you may have missed focus slightly. The hair on the side of her head seems slightly sharper than her eye.

Thanks for taking a look!

Well...if focusing on the furthest away eye is technically correct, I actually hit it. No really, I did miss the near eye. With how close I was at f/2, I had about 1/4 inch margin of error...and I errored. If I look real close at the original, the very inside edge of her right nostral is in...then by they time you look at the right eye, things are just starting to lose focus.

It's not "professional grade", but it does look real nice as I glance at it in a 5x7 on the table next to me.
