My 100-300 USM works fine with my A2E, but when I try to use it with my 20D it won't auto focus after a few seconds, and then locks up. What am I doing or not doing?

That is strange. This is the 1st time I've heard that this lens doesn't work with the 20D.

I had one and it worked flawlessly on 3 20D bodies and a XT.

Is this the older 100-300? I have heard of it locking up newer camera bodies, especially 10d's. I had the newer one and never had a problem with it on my Xt. Gosh, I miss that lens.. sniff sniff...

Yes, it is the older 100-300 ... maybe a good excuse to buy a newer lense. Thanks for the response.
