flourine is used in tooth paste did they ban that and that would scare me if the swabbed that on one of my lenses

Not exactly - fluorine is a gas - fluoride is a compound

I think the fluorite elements may show up looking odd on the xrays - possibly looking like some sort of explosive inside the lens. I kind of remember fluorite having some strange effect on x-rays iirc.

Sounds like the security folks have come accross the fluorite issue before and knew the question to ask.

well it sounds to me that all the terrorist are trying to do is ruin the world airline market by attacking them and then we cant bring that stuff on the plane then we just stop taking plane and thus making the world go in reverse
