Hi Kevin, big WELCOME to the forums. Although I'm also an amatuer I'll give you some feedback....

Love the image, but my personal preferance (and it is just that) would be a tighter crop rather than 1/3 rule because it's a portrait and I can't see what she did again (from the title oops I did it again), Other than that I really like the image, her eyes look great

Minor nit, looks like she might be picking her nose with the first finger (out of your control if this was an opportunity shot). I like the sharpness.

A bunch of stuff.

Welcome to the forum Kevin. I think you will learn a lot here in the forum. I know I have. I think you are off to a good start. My only nitpick is that I wish the photo was just a little bit bigger.

I agree a slightly larger shot would help in evaluating the shot. I like the lighting (fill flash) you've used. Welcome to the forum!

when you upload from your computer do you resize the image at all, or is it going to be so big that you have to sCroll up and down and side to side to see it?

thanks

I use to resize mine in Photoshop when I attached a photo from my computer. Max size is 800X800 and 100kb. I now use a photo hosting sight. More more on photo hosting you can have a look here. Hope this helps.

Nice shot, and welcome to the forum. Yes, you can attach photos here, but the size limitation is an issue. IMHO, you're better off making sure that either the height or width is maximum 800, host it somewhere, and link it here.

I like the image, good isolation of the subject. And the composition works well for me but it is a bit disconcerting as it appears to be severly tipped (I know it's not). Where was the picture taken? Then again, perhaps it's just too early in the AM for me....

Welcome to the forums. I've found this to be an excellent place to learn and grow with mey photography.

I dont undestand what you mean by tipped. The illusion your getting from the background? It was taken in the stratosphere in vegas. We where 843 feet in the air. In the background is the viewing windows and the supports beams for the outdoor viewing roof. Its always too early in the morning...

Window frames are normally vertical and horizontal. Yours are severely tipped. Your subject is standing straight, the streets visible thru the windows are straight. I'm glad to hear you were where you were.
