Plus it was 67mm filter wich was the same as my 70-200 and I would be able to use the CP on both lens. Plus it has a normal switch from AF/M My gear

I'm a prime shooter most of the time, but will reach for the 28-75 if I need a versatile zoom with good image quality.

All I can say is the Tamron produce some really excellent shots. It's the first third-party lens I've ever bought and I can't say anything other than I"m very happy with this lens. I don't really plan on getting the 24-70s anytime soon because of this, and I will rather invest in the missing range I currently have than worry about this range since it's well covered. The AF/MF switch isn't really that big of a deal and neither is the weight. At least, for me. 24mm at the wide is considerably more usable than 28 at the wide though. Mike
