I guess these are pretty common down under but I always have a soft spot for them. Such intelligent birds.

These are very good Mitcon and the crest uplifted in the second shot is an amazing shot, well done.

Of all our birds, these are my absolute favorites. I love all our birds but the sulphur is a magnificent bird.

Magic photos you have managed to capture that cheeky essence.

Also you may have dust on your lens top right and dead centre of the 1st there is a mark

Regards Darren

Awesome shots of a bird that we only see at pet store, zoo, or cow boy bar :). Nice job Wayne. I wish our common bird here in Austin is as pretty as the sulpher. I must visit Australia when i get a chance.

Nicely done Wayne! The second shot with the raised crest is my favorite. Both well exposed and just plain fantastic!

Perfect exposure and great detail in these two beautiful images. Hard to chose but the pose and the look in the second is my choice. Nice!!

Beautiful images of a really beautiful bird Mitcon. We loved seeing these when we were down under, though I understand that the local farmers not quite so fond of them :)

I hope you don't mind, but I did a quick edit of your rfirst image (you list imaged editing OK), to remove what I perceive as a color cast. Of course, you were there, so I could be way off base, but this is more what I remember. I also removed a couple of distracting raindrops from the bkg - at least I think they were raindrops.

Again, wonderful images!

Fantastic shots. Love the white bird against the dark BG. Excellent work as always. :-)

Best regards

Thanks for all the kind remarks, as always I really enjoy hearing them and your thoughts on the image.

Ed, I love what you did with it, it does look "truer" to me and yes they were rain drops. We had a light shower at the time which turned into quite the downpour.

Cheers Wayne :D
