Here is a pic of 2 swans I spotted after taking a toilet break in the Lake District. I had taken my camera out as there were a lot of ducks, swans and other birds being fed by locals and thought an opportunity may arise.

All I have done is scan it in using a Canoscan D2400 scanner and then had a quick go at adjusting the levels very slightly and then putting a signature on (though it would be nice).

I realise that there are probably lots of things I could've done in Photoshop to improve the pic but I have never really used Photoshop before. I will be getting a DSLR very soon so will be having to learn then.

Please feel free to be as critical as you wish. I am here to learn.

Just realised that I have posted this on a Digital forum when in fact the pic was not captured digitally. Many apologies. I was interested in peoples opinion of the pic tho as I was pretty chuffed to catch the moment. :)

Many Thanks

Dave

What a fantastic timing shot, perfect heart shape. Now clone out the bit of swan on the left bottom and this would make a good romantic card for valentines day!

Thank all for you comments. I am glad you all seem to like it. I couldn't believe I caught it just at the right time.

Anthony - That will be my next task. Help me get some practice and learn something on PS!!! Glad there is the good ol' Undo button so I don't mess it up completely.
