You know david, that lens really shines on a FF camera :)

That's just not fair. But it may be my next purchase. I'm hoping the money will gather when the 1DMIII with FF and 8.5fps crop mode comes out. :D

David:

Do not listen to any of them, that lens will be your ruination. Save yourself, get rid of it, you still have time. As a matter of fact I will do you a favor, I will take it off your hands. This way you will be able to sleep at night. Do not fret about me, I am already ruined and it is too late for me. Save yourself.

Psssst are you buying any of this.

Hey good luck man, enjoy, now remortgage the house cause I see it comming.

What's so funny is out of my 4 ultimate lenses, only one would be an L.

Hard to disagree. I did get the Sigma 24-70EX. But I'm trying real hard to stay away from EF-S. Although the 17-55 2.8 IS is making it harder. But for now I'm staying away. Then again the 17-55 2.8 IS is cheaper that a FF body. Your just trying to make it harder on me. Aren't you?

From my post just above, this could work. You can use your hobby to help out. I did.

I'm a little young. I'm learning photoshop now, and I'm thinking I might get some volunteer hours or something with some photographers I know around the corner who are doing a job for my family now. They have a bunch of white glass. Money is not really the biggest issue for me, it's more like "I need to validate to myself I deserve this." Once I get good at the skills of photography, or decent enough, I'll probably upgrade my lenses, sell the XTi (which I still need to buy, I had an XT, returned it because the XTi was coming out, and now am waiting for Bestbuy to get it in so I can use the gift card I have for $1k to buy it) and upgrade to a prosumer camera or something (which at the time will probably be a 40d or something.)

Yes, workflow is important. I have worked to see if I can process large quanities, since that is what is needed for weddings. So the backend is also important these days.

No, but you seem to be able to follow their song much better than I.

I'm still with just a single "L", my 70-200 IS. I keep working towards the 24-70, but each time its within reach the wife finds something "important" to wipe out any chances. The latest was a new patio door + window for the family room, I could have bought 4 for what the silly things cost.

I have looked through a Nikon 300mm and it was pretty good. So I'm definately staying away from the Canon 300mm IS. ;)
