I'm looking to buy one used myself. Seems really cool for the price.

Which model did you order ?
I'm shattered between buying the Canon 24-70 and the Tamron. I can't justify 3x the price for the Canon though..
Oh and you seem to be confident buying this lens. Do you mind sharing what reviews you read and what price you paid for it.

Thanks :)

I got mine last week and I love it!

You sure will love it. It's an extremely great performer for it's price.

Got mine a couple weeks ago, The difference between this one and the Canon is the Canon has faster fousing and is 24 on the wide end..that's about it. I'm happy with mine, not to mention, it looks way better on the cam than the kit or 50 :) Can we sa y FREE HOOD?! ;)

The Canon is also much sharper at the edges and has slightly better contrast than the Tamrons. Other than optics, it's also built better and because of USM, it has FT-M as well.

--------

All that aside, for the price, the Tamron just cannot be beat. It has excellent sharpness, and reasonable AF speed and build.

Again, I love mine a lot, and I don't plan on replacing it anytime soon.

Anybody willing to post some photos of it on a camera. I want to see how cool it really looks, and I'm too lazy to go search for some.

BTW, is it me, or is BH really cheap? Henry's Canada has this lens for $600. Heh, good thing I plan on buying used.

Well it better be better at 3X the cost :) I wouldn't mind having FT-M...I'm very satisfied with the build of the Tamron though. It already took a little spill at fuji, and not a single scratch and still works perfectly fine.
