Sep 15, 2006 17:05 | #8 Thanks for the comments. Not sure about the species. I think the one that is a brownish gold is the male. He has a red neck( not seen in this picture). He would fly up into the trees and wait for others to come by, then would chase them away. I believe they are Rufous hummingbirds. Hope to have a 100-400 for next season. Duane

She might be a Calliope but it is very difficult to tell from just this one pic (but her tail seems fairly short so I'm leaning towards Calliope).
