A few weeks ago I was in Myrtle Beach, SC on a short vacation. The family decided to visit Brookgreen Gardens (external link). It has lots of plants, sculptures, and even a section for animals. There are two aviaries (external link), one of which has some native water birds. There was a GBH, Black-crowned Night-Herons, Snowy Egrets, White Ibis, some ducks and one other bird that I haven't IDed yet. The other was a Bird of Prey aviary. I will share them over several threads but not all at once. Here are a couple of the BCN shots that I liked. C&C always welcome, be as polite or as blunt as you want, I can take it. EXIF is embedded. They lost a little during compression.

I can't believe you don't have any replies on this so here it is....

I love the shots however the sun seems to have your subject a little blown out.

I understand about loosing something in the compression. White birds seem worse with this.

Thanks for sharing

Well me neither, but sometimes that is just the nature of the beast.

I need to redo the PP in these. There weren't any blown highlights before and now I see some. I need to go back to my original method, rather than the new way I tried last night. Thanks for your feedback.

I like number two better. A good view and very nice blurred background.

Thanks Josh. I still have yet to redo these, but I will get around to it soon.

Alright I redid the PP on these shots finally and I wanted to see if they were better. So, are they?
