Hi there,

had a rest for a while (did some photo processing) and decided it was a nice arvo for a local drive. Came across some common starlings having a scratch/preen. As much as they are feral here and would prefer to see our native birds, a startling in breeding dress, in full sun is a sight to behold.

Here are a couple of shots.

Beautiful colour and patterns on these starlings and nicely composed shots.

Thanks for posting these shots of the starlings in breeding plumage....I didnt realise they are feral (I guess because I cant imagine what domestic use they would have been :D) Great shots, the first being my favourite.

I would say they came here with sparrows, rabbits foxes etc all feral and very anoying....not to mention camels however we now breed and export camels too the arab states lol
