First, let me apologise as this is not a photography topic - but as I feel I know many of you personally, and you are my last hope, I'll ask anyway!

There was a record in the late 60's (IMG, now I feel old!) called "Melancholy" by I believe an American group called "The Bambies". I have tried on and off for the last 30 years to find it, and have allways hit a brick wall (not the Pink Floyd variety)

Has anyone heard of, or better still, got a copy of this record? (That you would be prepared to admit to? )

Just thought it was worth asking. (sorry to hijack the forum for a non-Canon matter)

I know more than a little bit about music and music trivia, but I've never heard of this band.

Evidently, neither has Google...

these guys?

The Bambis were an ultra-obscure British beat group that also cut one single as Van Dyke and the Bambis, featuring Les Van Dyke, for Pye in 1964. Signed to Oriole in 1964, their contract was picked up briefly by CBS when Columbia Records (US) bought out Oriole to create CBS Records. They disappeared from recording after 1965 and two singles, cut two singles, "Handle With Care" b/w "Not Wrong" and "Baby Blue" b/w "If This Is Love." ~ Bruce Eder, All Music Guide

Also, it appears that you may be able to find it in Germany judging by the matches in Google.

Here's my Google search string:
60s Music + Bambis + Melancholie

Happy Hunting!!
